FAQ ────

AI, Identity & Trust

Clear answers to questions about reputation, digital identity and how people and companies are understood in the age of AI.

1. What is Trust Architecture?

Trust Architecture is a framework developed by Alesh Ancira to describe the deliberate design of the signals that help people and intelligent systems understand whether someone or something is credible.

2. What is structural invisibility and why can credible people still be invisible to AI?

Structural invisibility happens when real-world credibility exists, but the digital evidence needed to interpret it is fragmented, incomplete or poorly connected.

A founder can have decades of experience, strong relationships and genuine authority while still appearing surprisingly undefined to an AI system.

The reputation exists. The structure around it does not.

3. What is a machine-readable identity?

A machine-readable identity is the version of a person or organization that digital systems can understand from the information available to them.

Websites, public profiles, media coverage, structured data, databases and other sources may all contribute to that picture.

The important question is whether the resulting picture actually resembles reality.

4. Why does ChatGPT or another AI system sometimes get information about me wrong?

Usually because the information available is incomplete, contradictory, outdated or difficult to connect confidently to the right person or company.

AI systems do not know you the way a colleague or client does. They interpret signals.

If those signals are weak or confusing, the result can be too.

5. What should I do if AI says something false or outdated about me?

Start with the source, not the symptom.

Identify where the incorrect information may be coming from, correct sources where possible, resolve contradictions across profiles and strengthen credible information that reflects the current reality.

6. Can you control what AI says about you?

Not completely. What you can influence is the quality, consistency and authority of the information AI systems have available when interpreting you.

The objective is better context and less ambiguity.

7. How can a founder, executive or company improve how AI systems understand them?

Begin by asking a simple question: if a machine had to understand you using only public information, what would it find?

Then strengthen the fundamentals: accurate information, consistent profiles and a digital footprint that reflects the person or company that actually exists.

8. What is perception architecture in the AI age?

Perception architecture is the strategic shaping of how people, companies and ideas are understood.

Traditionally, that meant human audiences. Today, algorithms and intelligent systems increasingly sit between information and the people making decisions.

Good perception architecture considers both.

9. How is Trust Architecture different from SEO, AEO, PR and reputation management?

SEO helps information rank. AEO helps answer systems retrieve it. PR builds visibility and third-party credibility. Reputation management protects public perception.

Trust Architecture looks across those disciplines and asks a broader question:

Does the information available create enough clarity and confidence for this person or organization to be understood correctly?

10. What is Trust Passport™?

Trust Passport™ is an application of Trust Architecture at the Individual Identity Layer, a framework developed by Alesh Ancira to describe how human identity, credibility and authority are interpreted by AI systems, search engines and other automated platforms.

It brings together identity architecture, public reputation, structured information and trust signals to help founders, executives, creators and public figures become more accurately understood across intelligent systems.
